Although Beancount.me is the best software to scan receipts and store them in the cloud, it's not just a receipt keeper. We think our other features are just as important. You can digitize receipts, track and search receipts, organize receipts into reports. It might sound like we're obsessed with receipts and that's because we are!
Beancount.me is a receipt scanner and organizer
Our software allows you to organize your expense data with our easy to use reporting tool.
Do you want to see all your taxi receipts for 2021? All you need to do is:
- Log into your account at beancount.me.
- Click "Report" in our easily navigated menu.
- Enter your search term e.g. 'taxi' in the report control panel.
- If necessary enter the from/to dates e.g. 1st of Jan 2021 to 31st of Dec 2021.
Then you can instantly see all the data you wanted.
If you want to export that data for your records or to send to your accountant simply click the "Download" button. By default it will download a .csv file that can be used in Excel, Google Sheets or Open Office.
Receipt tracking
We lose receipts all the time and normally it's okay. But it's a big problem if goods you purchase turn out to be faulty or require an exchange.
What's the point of a three year extended warranty if you can't find your receipt. Beancount.me is the way to track your receipts and extended warranties without having to resort to a grotty shoebox or converting your underwear drawer into a makeshift file system.
Let's say you paid a premium when you bought your 36 month extended guarantee on your Beats by Dre wireless headphones at a big distributor such as Argos. Make sure to take a photo of your receipt and upload it to your beancount.me account and then you can use the search functionality to retrieve your receipt and redeem your guarantee.
- Log into your account at beancount.me.
- If you're not already there, you can navigate to "Home" in the main menu.
- Enter your search text in the quick search text box e.g. enter the text "Beats".
- Click on the suggestion to be taken to all the data about your receipt including the original photo.
